Session Title: Powerful Pop-Up : When Business and Social Justice Collide

What if coffee and donuts could empower girls in Oakland to achieve their dreams, wouldn't that be sweet? Come taste Mamacitas famous Donut Kebab and learn how co-founders Renee Geesler and Shana Lancaster went from social justice activists to specialty food business owners. This inspiring tour, demo and dialogue will illuminate how their enterprise and newly launched 'Youth Food Project' is leveraging the Bay Area's booming food scene to provide leadership opportunities to Oakland's young women.
