Session Title: The Other Valley of Death - Getting the Low Carbon Economy to Scale

Why is it so difficult for emerging alternative energy technologies to go to scale? Why have so many "cleantech" venture capital efforts essentially failed? In this session, Allotrope Partners will outline these challenges and explain their model for addressing them. The company will share their experiences developing solar projects in Southeast Asia and biomass projects in Northern California as well as discuss the differences between traditional venture funding and developing and financing projects.
