Session Title: Hyper-Local— How Volunteer Tech Education is Transforming Twitter's Backyard

Come visit NeighborNest, a community technology and training center funded by Twitter and anchored by Compass Family Services, one of the oldest non-profits in San Francisco known for supporting the Bay Area’s neediest families and providing them with housing, support and education. Learn how Compass, the winner of this year’s NewCo non-profit award, is making a difference at the hyper-local level, teaching tech to low income and homeless residents of the Tenderloin/Mid-Market neighborhood that is home to both organizations. Hear directly from Twitter employee volunteers, Compass and Twitter staff and other community partners about how collaborations like this are optimizing resources and promoting social change— all towards the creation of a better San Francisco.
