Explore how the Center for New Music is building a community for musicians in the Tenderloin, harnessing the ethics of the sharing economy, unlocking musical creativity, and modeling how the most experimental creatives can thrive in the midst of a neighborhood, a city, and a music industry undergoing major renovation. This session will explore what new music is, and who makes it, as well as why artists need a community.
